Rome

During the last week of October, we had a week off of our study abroad program for the All Saint's Holiday (Toussaint's) that is celebrated in France. I decided to visit Italy with my friends, Sam and Kevin, since I enjoyed Italy so much the last time I went! We flew off to Milan-Bergamo and headed for Rome the next day, where we spent a few days there, and also visited Florence. Here are some pictures from our adventures!

More program trips!

I'm a bit late in posting our visit to Strasbourg, France, but here it is!

Back in September, our European Union Studies program went on a trip together to Strasbourg, a city in eastern France, right next to the German border! We visited Strasbourg because the that's the city where all the main EU buildings are-- the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights! We took off two days of classes and left on Monday.

The first day, we spent most of our time visiting the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights.

The European Parliament

We actually got to observe the Parliament in session!

After visiting the buildings, we had the rest of the afternoon and evening to ourselves. It was rather chilly, so I didn't do much except for eat dinner with some friends.

Dinner in Strasbourg with friends-- tarte flambée.. mmm!

The next morning, we visited the Council of Europe with our program and had the rest of the day to explore Strasbourg! After our visit, I walked around the city with my friends and found my way to the "Notre Dame" of Strasbourg-- it does sort of resemble the Notre Dame of Paris!
